Thurs, Sept 30

Ok, I posted the question on facebook about gum and have been told it's NOT paleo. So yesterday I cheated extra when I had a piece of Juicy Fruit. Darnit. But I don't consider it a major booboo. If I have funk breath and gum is all I have on hand to try to alleviate it, I won't hesitate to use it. And if it will help a major urge to cheat, I will use it. Other than that though, I don't normally chew it so hopefully it won't be an issue.  >:}  From all the activity, I notice I'm sleeping like a rock this week! I close my eyes and next thing I know the darn alarm clock is already waking me up!  Lats and armpits are still sore, but not as much so. Deodarant application today wasn't a chore like it was yesterday.

FOOD

Breakfast = scrambled eggs (yes I used a bit of milk), fruit/spinach smoothie

Lunch = filet mignon, fruit/spinach smoothie

Dinner = well, it was more like a snack (worked late & went straight to karate) -- edamame & trail mix consisting of raisins, peanuts, sunflower seeds. I figured it was better than not eating at all!

WOD

Karate day.

Wed, Sept 29 2010

I slept like a rock last night, thanks to a little jogging at the box last night. My legs aren't as sore today, but my lats and armpits make up for it. Who knew putting on deodarant could be a painful experience??

FOOD

Breakfast = 2egg/bacon omelet, fruit/spinach smoothie

Lunch = cheat meal!!!  Chicken flautas, guacamole, rice, refried beans

Dinner = Roast, carrots, strawberries

Post-workout drink = apple juice

WOD

 Karate day. Got called up to front of class to do chinto kata. Had a brain fart and forgot mid-way thru. Obviously need to practice more...

Sun, Sept 26

So... today measurements were taken:

Neck = 13"
R Bicep = 12 3/4 (flexed), 111/8 (resting)
L Bicep = 12 1/4 (flexed), 11 1/8 (resting
Shoulders = 43 1/8
Waist = 30 1/2
Hips = 38 1/4
R Thigh = 23 5/8
L Thigh = 23 1/2
R Calf = 15 (flexed), 14 1/4 (resting)
L Calf = 14 5/8 (flexed), 14 5/8 (resting)
135#

And then I got talked into doing the 'Fight Gone Bad' WOD:

     3 rounds of the following exercises (AMRAP 1min each):
        Row - for calories
        Wall Balls
        Sumo Deadlift High Pulls
        Box Jumps
        Push Press
        Rest

     Total = 242, RX

Talk about sucking wind after not working out for 3 weeks! Modified paleo starts back tomorrow. Let's just state that gummi bears before a WOD aren't exactly considered the food of champions.
