Warmup/WOD:
This is the intermediate team wod announced for our upcoming competition in August, so we thought we'd work some strategy & see how the weight goes. Actually it's a total of 200 reps, split up between the 4 members of the team, each getting a total of 50 reps. It didn't go too well.... 140# is my 1RM BS that I'd had so far. Obviously after tonight, I know that should be a little higher. I was only able to do these 2 at a time, failing after about 14 to go down to 1 at a time. Even though, form was failing, and I was feeling a lot of pressure on my knees when I rolled forward. BUMMER! May have to contemplate scaling this one for the event. I know i could finish 50 reps at that weight, but it definitely wouldn't be pretty, and with each rep as form fails I risk injury. Who comes up with an intermediate wod with such weight? CrossFit is about being the fittest, not the strongest!! *sigh* Adapt & overcome though...
